The June 1 Update

The June 1 Update

I sat here during the first intermission of game 5 and didn’t manage a single key… second intermission, now, things are not looking good for the Habs. That has some positive implications for me…less excuse to partake in drinks and other negative influences every other night of the week…likely less overall consumption of calories, late nights, lack of sleep….stuff…things….

Slab and I had big plans for leaning out the last 2 weeks, but I am watching hockey and her BF is a huge habs fan…so there has been some consumption…and maybe a bit of back pain. 140-pound shoulder presses may be causing some spinal compression over here… and the old body has begged for a break. I believe Slab’s back issues are likely related to heavy lifting.

Which reminds me…one of the hockey dads was calling me out for using steroids at the team parent meeting…and hey, I get it…this is a 50-something man with biceps smaller than his 15-year-old daughters…I must be using some magic…..right?

You know what the magfc is? Lifting heavy ass weights! It hurts! 50-year-old guys with the arms of 12-year-old girls aren’t putting in the work.

The fact is, my testosterone levels are perfectly natural. I’m not at 2 times the natural level of those guys you see…humongous. I have to work for every millimetre. I have to push every single pound.

Tomorrow I will do a chest workout, my first 2 sets will have me lifting 15 thousand pounds in the first 20 minutes. It will hurt like hell. My muscles and my mind will be screaming wtf.

That is the difference….putting in the work….here at the manblog we put in the work…..Krista? We will circle back on that….game on….

OK, game over….the NHL hockey fan in me is dead for another season.

where were we….

stuff and things….the peptides….I haven’t taken in 2 weeks. Maybe once the habs are out(which just happened), I will have more opportunity. I only want to take them clean. Zero drinks and no food 1.5 hours before. Next week?

I have notes to refer to the first ….You can’t fix crazy…

Seamus was madly in love with a woman 15 years ago… a good-looking woman….but crazy jealous. Seamus asked me, ” how do I fix this?”

You can’t fix crazy…

The thing about crazy is, sometimes it means crazy love…crazy passion…but….crazy is crazy. All that crazy fun is going to come to an end, and all you will be left with is the crazy….

What else do we have in my notes for the past 2 weeks….the weather…the heat came, and I took all the palms out…they have had some unhappy nights but seem to be surviving. I bring seeds back from holidays and am currently nursing a palm from Mexico and a plant from St. Lucia. I hate to see either of those freeze to death.

Super busy 2 weeks at work. Finishing some custom cabinetry in Arnprior, very proud of how that turned out, and enjoyed a few days working in the driveway. The best workshop in the world has a 25-degree sun cast upon it.

Which takes us to casting shadows….so many photos. Trying to catch the right lighting and angles to make me feel good about what I’m posting. Slab confides that she is doing the same…and I expect everyone else here is also…

No one offers up their worst photo

Did Slab offer a head-to-head photo this week? I don’t think so…and last week sucked…back….

That’s it for tonight….the weather….tomorrow….

Not tomorrow…yesterday (Saturday) was a full Victor day with lots of fun activities!

That is the 347 that is in the Cobra. I’m on my 3rd Carburator, finally a winner with the Edelbrock, and now my 3rd cam.
My good buddy, Cobra Scott, always around to help me spend money on great car ideas.

But…it won’t smell like gas when I’m running it, and what’s 30 hp, the damn thing is so overpowered no one will notice.

Its Sunday, I just did my chest workout. I just lifted 20 thousand pounds in an hour. Things are getting heavy around here.

And Now….The Weather

Suds…is melting away! She needs smaller scrubs. Soon she will have a closet full of clothes, unwearable, swimming in them.
Not much of a story other than the pending shopping trip but the previous week Suda let me know that most of her weightloss was water…she was peeing all night……..

YogaJeni, like a few of us here, has lost an inch here and there and is hard on the weights. She has a trainer now, and those folks like to see their clients push heavy weights. YJ competed in a paddling race this week. She came first in her division….a field of…..ONE.

TBag is packing on muscle….I think…her measurements tell a tale of body recomposition. She is also doing a bit more lifting and has added an interesting, and important, fitness tool to her gym.

Krista tells me she has decided to take back her life AND is going to get a tape measure. She also said she would swing by this weekend….or mayeb back to those bad habits! I’m watching you Kid. Get that tape, get your butt on the scale, and get sweating!

Jeremy and Russett J didn’t offer much of a story this week. Russett….the staff in the chemo ward are beside themselves. They have never seen a patient keep up their apetite, and weight, as the Beagle has managed.
They havwe no idea the years and year of overconsumption this man has achieved. His body expects 600 calories and hour from a mix of sour patch kids and potato chips. Once every 3 hours a cookie is added to ensure his mouth is soothed via cookie filling.

Pumper is also losing inches and pounds. Back at it in the gym after a short break….a quiet week from suds also, back to work, and working out during the week, then off to the cottage to relax…and drink, on the weekends.

HotTub is considering a comeback…a few more weeks.

Slab….slab and I had agreed to have a lean out competition the last few weeks and neither of us leaned out a bit. She offered a lower weight this week but I question if she didn’t have a hand on the counter. June Suds is going lean…She offered up 24.2% Body fat @ 124.1 pounds.
Slabs BF setup up this shrine to the hockey gods but it didn’t may off.

Yours Truly…I will lean out in June. The Habs have made it okay to drink beer and eat chips 3 nights a week since the Sens moved to golf. They are out, and so are chips and drinking during the week. I am going back to counting calories and protein for the month of June….my BF% is currently within the range of obesity….I have no idea how. My BP is still perfect, I did blood work last week which includidng Liver and Kidney function and a check for diabetes, all came back great.
Long Live Living.

The Quote of The Day

“You worry too much for someone that has figured it out every time”

And there it is folks….I am learning.
Things are moving forward here at a pretty good pace right now.

1. I have never, in my life, been happier with myself and living in my space alone.
2. My house is fabulous, peaceful and happy.
3. My helath is amazing. I am in the best shape of my life at 55 and am a stand out vs guys half my age.
4. I am more positive about myself and my future than I have every been.

I see how my effort pays off now that my space is positive.
