Fat Man Agony at The Man Blog
The plan yesterday was to run 11 miles, 17.6 kilometres. All was good until about 15 km when I started cramping up…dehydration…
The wife did mention doing a water drop but I thought there was no need, my phone said it was 13 degrees last time I looked…but wait, it’s 26 degrees, I’m wearing a heavy running shirt. and I’m about to sweat out 6 pounds
of water…

Yep, I lost 6 pounds on Sunday morning, I weighed in at 226 when home from 17.6 kilometers. I put it all back on with water of course but it is still a pleasure to see that number.
The silver cranial disaster showed me 232 pounds even this morning…I’m okay with that. I crushed a lot of food yesterday. I had 3 pasties from the British pastie and pie company, 2 slices of raisin bread, an an 3 egg egg sandwich. Oh, and 2 gallons of gatorade.
6 pounds of water isn’t all I lost yesterday, I also lost a quart of blood…via the nipple. the pains of a fat man running are many. This one is not my favourite.
Yes kids, if you were laughing at the fat man running down limebank with blood spots on the front of his shirt, that was me…
As far as all this running goes…I’m really starting to despise it. I would rather just run 5’s or even 10’s every single day…but there is a light at the end of the tunnel. There are only 7 more weeks of long runs. only 7 more
weeks of torture. My next 7 Sunday in Kilometeres are: 19.2, 22.4, 25.6, 25.6, 27.2, 28.8, 30.4, 32.
Isn’t it nice that I’ll get to repeat 25.6 kilometres on back to back weeks? I don’t know how in faking hell I’m going to get through this!
Friday Night with the Golden Boys
Well we did have a get together on Friday for the announcement. I’ve got to say I was really looking forward to
Arthur announcing his outing. but I guess we will all have to wait for that.
Pesh is getting married.

As usual, Kevin hates to waste calories….He’ll be laying around…Vinnie and Arthur are wearing the historically acceptable clothes as per their heritage, those Italians know how to scrimp on cotton…And good old Trafford is slinging arrows…the love bird…
The date has yet to be set…but Pesh should be saving up for that open bar! Best of luck kids!
I will continue to get under 232, I think today as the wife just informed me I’ll be running 4 miles…I need to get off the pasties maybe.
The Quote of the Day:
A friend is one who knows you and loves you just the same. Elbert Hubbard
Some of these quotes remind me of a million BS facebook posts I’ve had to read via happless online farmers, for me its a reminder of some of the great friends I have, some I see often and some I see never and all the ones in between.
Let’s raise a glass together or alone and recall the good times and bad…have a laugh. Looks like a nice day is coming, get out and enjoy it.
Cheers
