Oh joyous Friday.
Met up with a buddy for a few beers at the Black Dog in Manotick. Came home to eat a bit of the dinner…my wife had a play date with a few of her friends during which they did a bit of a cook off. Sadly most of the dishes she returned with were pasta based. I’ve never been a huge pasta fan but…it’s time to eat.
I had pasta with chicken, pasta with beef, pasta with pasta…the scale this morning?
245.6..I gained a pound of man weight. There will be no gym today. I can’t brush my teeth without terrible agony. My arms, back, neck…all in pain! There is nothing sadder than a fat man the day after working out like he used to when he was fit.
To mourn that pound and ease my pain we will look at cars.

I’m gunning for the blue and white paint job for mine, hopefully we can squeeeeeeze it into the budget! Those good year billboards would be nice too.
How about a video of a cobra and a farrari in the 1/4 mile? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-N-pnfFzsf4 &feature=youtu.be
Forecast looks like warmer weather next week, hopefully I can get mine ready for summer, still need a few more bits to get the new transmission in…luckily summer is a long way off.
Today’s quotes are brought to you by Automobile Magazine 2004:
“There’s nothing nice about a Cobra, it’s stripped down to the essentials – a big engine, a small car, and four wide tires trying to keep the whole business on the pavement. It’s loud, smells like gasoline, and shakes, shudders, and bucks. It makes your arms tired and your feet hot. You nearly crash about once every ten minutes. It’s so damn wonderful you can’t believe it.”
When you put that tiny silver key into the ignition, and begin your start countdown, your car will whisper “take me for granted, and I will kill you.”
